The verification of tanks earlier pulled back from the contact line has been under way in the Ukrainian army operation area for the third consecutive day, Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff spokesman Vladyslav Selezniov told Interfax.

“According to the schedule, we were supposed to follow a ‘two-two’ pattern. It means that we spend two days withdrawing weapons and hardware and another two days verifying it. At the moment, representatives of the OSCE SMM (Special Monitoring Mission of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe) continue to verify the sites accommodating the withdrawn hardware. This process has already been under way for the third day in a row,” he said on Oct. 9.

When commenting on remarks made by OSCE Deputy Chief Monitor Alexander Hug that violations had been committed by both sides during the withdrawal of weapons, Selezniov said that “these violations will be dealt with on a routine basis.”
