The Ukrainian Security Service, or the SBU, has put Russian citizen Igor Strelkov on a wanted list, accusing him of organizing a premeditated murder and of committing acts against the sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine.

This person is also suspected of sabotage and subversion and of
organizing large-scale riots in the territory of eastern Ukraine, a
posting on the SBU’s official Web site reads.

“This person is an officer of the Main Intelligence Directorate of
the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and
acted as a military security assistant to self-proclaimed Prime Minister
of Crimea [Sergei] Aksionov. In Crimea, Strelkov was in charge of
operations to seize military units and administrative agencies’
buildings; he also participated in interrogations of Ukrainian
servicemen and recruited our citizens in Crimea,” the posting reads.

The SBU also reported that Strelkov early in April received direct
orders from Moscow to launch a large-scale sabotage operation on the
mainland of Ukraine, in particular, in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

The SBU posted personal identification information about Strelkov on its Web site.
