One border guard was wounded in grenade fire opened by the militants at a Ukrainian border unit in the area of Stanytsia Luhanska in Luhansk Oblast, the press service of the Ukrainian State Border Service reported on June 27.
It said that the militants started to fire last Saturday when a border patrol was fulfilling a task in its responsibility zone. “One border guard received a fragment wound. He was taken to a hospital of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the report says.
In addition, the militants used small arms at Mayorske roadblock and grenade-launchers and small arms against Zolote roadblock where border guards were on duty together with army servicemen. Nobody was hurt in the attacks.
