The French Navy's La Fayette class frigate has arrived in the port of Odesa, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry has reported.
The ministry reported on Thursday that the program of the visit envisages protocol meetings between the ship’s captain and officials of the Odesa City Council, the region’s state administration and the command of the Ukrainian Navy and a friendly football game.
Additionally, the crews of the French frigate and the Ukrainian Navy’s frigate Hetman Sahaydachny are expected to exchange experience on issues relating to the organization of professional training on the two countries’ vessels.
The visit by the French frigate will take place on March 26-30.
