The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has forwarded a letter to the Security Service (SBU) recommending that the French parliamentarians who visited Crimea last week be barred from entering Ukraine.

“We have forwarded a relevant letter to the SBU,” Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mariana Betsa told Interfax-Ukraine on July 28 evening.

It was reported earlier that ten members of the French National Assembly and the Senate arrived in Crimea from Moscow for two days on July 23.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said soon afterwards that the French parliamentarians who visited Crimea without Ukraine’s authorization would be barred from entering the country.
