The militants have lost over 220 people in the fighting near Horlivka and Ilovaisk, Donetsk Oblast, the Ukrainian army's press center said.
“The enemy has lost three tanks, one combat armored vehicle, two BM-21 Grad rocket launch vehicles, four mortars and one 9A52 Smerch system. A total of 225 terrorists have been killed. They were destroyed by an artillery attack on illegal military units near the populated areas of Horlivka and Ilovaisk,” the press center for the anti-terrorist operation said on Facebook on Aug. 27 morning.
The press center also said the anti-terrorist operation troops are fighting to keep control over the populated areas of Novosvitlivka and Khriaschuvate. The units of the anti-terrorist operation are cleansing the populated areas of Rodakove, Illiriya and Malomykolaivka. Fighting is going on to keep control over the towns of Ilovaisk, the roads leading to it, and the heights around it, the report says.
