The Ukrainian Defense Ministry has said the allegations by Luhansk militants about a Ukrainian Sukhoi Su-25 aircraft being shot down in the east of the country were untrue.
This information “does not match the reality and is an absolute lie,” the ministry’s spokesperson said.
For his part, the anti-terrorist operation spokesman Andriy Lysenko also dismissed these reports. “The Ukrainian air force hasn’t been scrambled,” he told Interfax-Ukraine.
