The positions of the Ukrainian military in Donbas came under fire 81 times on Aug. 5, including from heavy artillery and tanks, and there was also an exchange of fire, the press service for the anti-terrorist operation reported on Aug. 5 morning.

Avdiyivka came under fire from 122 and 152 mm caliber artillery from the Donetsk side around 9:00 p.m., the report says.

“The enemy’s air reconnaissance in the Luhansk region somewhat intensified in the past 24 hours. Eight drones were registered here in the period between 7:00 p.m. and midnight,” the report says.
