You're reading: Ukrainians not to have long Christmas holidays

 The Ukrainian government has decided not to make long Christmas holidays for Ukrainians, reads a posting on Ukrainian Premier Mykola Azarov's page in Facebook. 

“According to an instruction of the Cabinet of Ministers, working day of Dec. 31 was transfered to Saturday, Dec. 29. Thus, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1-2 will be days off. And Jan. 6, 7, 8 will be days off to mark Christmas,” reads the statement.

Thus, Ukrainians will work on Jan. 3-4.
