A Ukrenergo repair crew has stopped repairing a damaged power line pylon on the 220 kV Kakhovka-Titan power grid which supplies electricity to Crimea and two districts in Kherson region under the request of Crimean Tatar activists, the press service of Kherson Regional State Administration said.

“One of the activists and leaders of the protest [blockade of Crimea] Lenur Isliamov explained that the activists demand that the [de-facto Crimea] occupation authorities release political prisoners and until this condition is met, power supply to the territory of Crimea won’t be restored,” the administration said, referring to Ukrenergo’s press service.

As reported, on Nov. 25 the company carried major work to restore the pylon on the 220 kV Kakhovka-Titan power grid.
