PJSC Ukrtransnafta is contesting the claims of three private oil refineries which stored the company's crude oil for the recovery of over Hr 400 million, the press service of the company has reported.

According to its information, the Kyiv Economic Court recently heard the case on the suit of PJSC Halychyna oil processing complex (Drohobych, Lviv Oblast) for the recovery of Hr 38 million under the agreement on leasing tank capacities dated April 1, 2015.

“Ukrtransnafta has prepared a counterclaim to the complex on recognition of the contract for leasing tank capacities as imaginary and invalid due to the fact that it was signed to conceal the actual contract to provide oil storage services. In that case, the said contract should be declared as invalid due to the fact that during its signing public procurement procedures stipulate in Ukrainian legislation were not observed,” the press service said.

Similar lawsuits against Ukrtransnafta were filed by PJSC Ukrtransnafta (Kremenchuk, Poltava Oblast) and PJSC Naftokhimik Prykarpattia (Nadvirna, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast).

The first of the three lawsuits has been reviewed by the Kyiv Economic Court which by its decision of Sept. 28 satisfied the claim of Naftokhimik Prykarpattia while dismissing the counterclaim of Ukrtransnafta.
