You're reading: Yatsenyuk says government to grant Hr 1 billion for houses for military personnel, their families

The government will allocate Hr 1 billion to provide housing for military personnel serving in the war-torn zone and their families, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk has said,

“From today the Defense Ministry, Interior Ministry, Security Service of Ukraine and other [law] enforcement departments will receive the right to get Hr 1 billion for the anti-terrorist operation participants, as well as for their family members, who died as a result of the anti-terrorist operation against Russian terrorists,” Yatsenyuk said at a sitting of the government on May 27.

Yatsenyuk called on the profile ministers to draw up budget programs and ordered the Finance Ministry to fund them “by September to provide the first stage [of housing for] servicemen and their family members.”

He added that the related government decree will be issued on May 27.
