Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk has announced that Ukraine will drop the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) criminal search database system on Aug. 24, 2015.

“From August 24 we’ll drop the so-called search base of the CIS because Moscow doesn’t fulfill our procedural instructions and our joining the Interpol database means that now we’re a part of the single international search system in the world,” Yatsenyuk told journalists in Boryspil on Aug. 20.

First Deputy Chief of State Border Guard System of Ukraine Vasyl Servatiuk said in turn that the switch to the Interpol database has been tested since Aug. 15.
