  Ukraine and the EU will sign an agreement on the provision of 1 billion euro in macro-financial assistance to Ukraine in Brussels on May 13, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has said.

 “A historic joint meeting between Ukraine and the European Commission will take place in Brussels tomorrow. We expect to sign important documents tomorrow, including on the allocation of 1 billion euro of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine,” the prime minister said at a joint briefing with EU President Herman Van Rompuy in Kyiv on May 12.
