CAIRO, Sept 5 (Reuters) - An Egyptian court started the third session of the trial of ousted President Hosni Mubarak on Monday when senior police officers are expected to become the first witnesses to give testimony, a witness at the court reported.

Mubarak, who has been hosptialised since April, arrived at the court site shortly before and was wheeled into the cage in court where defendants are placed, the witness said.

Mubarak was flown to the court site by helicopter, the same way he came for the first two sessions on Aug. 3 and Aug. 15.
