Ukraine Today: Turkey declares war on ISIS; Erdogan says strike on IS in Syria is the ‘first step’

Turkey's President Tayyip Erdogan has said that the strike on Islamic State bases in northern Syria had been the 'first step'; after the country's government vowed to continue its campaign against IS militants.

Turkish warplanes attacked Islamic State positions in Syria on Friday.

Country told the United Nations that air strikes were conducted because the Syrian government was neither capable to tackle the radical Islamist group.
