Anonymous hacks Russia’s central state bank: secret data exposure promised

The hacktivist group Anonymous announced on Saturday it has broken into secret data bases of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation (CBRF), and that more than 28 gigabytes of privileged Russian government financial information will soon be made the public.

The group in a video statement said it would release up to 35,000 confidential CBRF files over the next week.
The data dump will include internal CBRF data on the bank’s agreements, correspondence, money transfers, and overseas agents and trading partners, the statement said.

Confidential Information about oligarch financial dealings with the CBRF, accurate Russian Federation (RF) economic statistics the Kremlin keeps from the RF public, secret international trade agreements, conference videos, and operating system programs used by the CBRF likewise will be exposed, the statement said.

The information release also will expose illicit relationships between the CBRF and NATO nation governments and major financial institutions, the statement said.

Anonymous messaged RF President Vladimir Putin directly with its trademark threat of ubiquity: “Vladimir Putin, no secret is safe, we are everywhere, we are in your palace, we are where you eat, we are at your table, we are in the room where you sleep.”
