You're reading: Daily increase in new COVID-19 cases in Belarus nearing 1,800

MINSK – A total of 143,383 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in Belarus as of Dec. 4, the Belarusian Health Ministry said.

A total of 1,774 new cases have been registered over the past 24 hours, and 1,701 new cases were registered on Dec. 3.

“Since the infection began spreading on the territory of the country, 1,190 patients diagnosed with coronavirus who also suffered from chronic illnesses have died (1,181 as of Dec. 3),” the Health Ministry said.

A total of 120,571 patients earlier diagnosed with COVID-19 have recovered and been discharged from the hospital as of Dec. 4 (118,924 as of December 3), the ministry said. Thus, 1,647 patients have recovered over the past day.

A total of 3,367,889 tests for coronavirus have been performed (3,335,788 as of Dec. 3).
