The annual VDNG Christmas fair will run until Feb. 28 2017. At the festive vendor stalls visitors can buy warm clothes and tasty souvenirs. In addition, there’s a food court and playground for children featuring ice-skating, games with fairytales heroes and science experiments. There’s also a park of ice sculptures and Saint Nicholas’s palace where one can meet Nicholas himself and his elves, give him a letter with wishes and even help him pack the presents for the New Year’s eve.

Saints like good angels reside in heaven. Fairytale heroes are mythical not mystical. Anyone can write Santa Clause. Packaging Svaty Nykoly / Saint Nicholas like Uncle Jo's Deed Moroz is godforsaken Soviet whitewashing.

In real life if your navy spouce is being deployed or third trimester sister is having trouble carrying your nephew whom are you asking to work wonders? When recovering after a medica procedure at 3AM who is it you're going to talk with, a saint or elve? There're not substitutional.
