Soccer fans who weren’t lucky to secure tickets for next year’s European soccer championship will get one more chance on Dec. 12.

Europe’s top governing body is making an additional 450,000 tickets available on Dec. 12 for next year’s Euro 2012 taking place in Ukraine and Poland.

Sales of tickets are reserved for fans of each of the national football associations participating in the 16-nation tournament, Ukraine’s Euro 2012 infromation center announced on Dec. 7.

Tickets will be sold on UEFA’s website through 16 ticket sub-portals – one for each team. The portals will operate until February 29 and allow a maximum two-ticket purchase per person.

According to UEFA’s representative office in Kyiv, each national team will be allotted 16 percent of the overall stadium capacity during the group stage. Teams will be allowed 5,000 tickets for quarter-finals and semi-finals matches. And each final team will get 9,000 tickets.

UEFA announced that a tour operator program will also be launched on Dec. 12 that allows the purchase of tickets in combination with travel via licensed tour operators from the participating countries.

Some 500,000 Euro 2012 tickets have already been made available to the general public in March.

A resale platform of the initial 500,000 tickets started in July 2011 and will operate until March 2012, exclusively on UEFA’s website.

All tickets will be sent by secure post to the purchaser four to six weeks before the start of the tournament, which kicks off June 8.

UEFA said it will provide all the ticketing details on Dec. 12.
