Vaccines against influenza produced by the French company Sanofi Pasteur are already in the warehouses of Ukraine, head of the vaccines department of the company Olena Yentina has told Interfax-Ukraine.

“After obtaining the conclusion from the State Expert Center on the compliance of the vaccine quality with the requirements of the health care system of Ukraine, the vaccine will be on sale”, she noted.

The volume of deliveries this year exceeds last year’s figure: the imported quantity of doses of the drug will be enough so that everyone could be vaccinated in the 2017-2018 epidemic season, the company assured.

As reported, non-availability of vaccines against influenza in the Ukrainian market was recorded at the beginning of the 2016-2017 epidemic season. The supply of vaccines began in November.

According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Health, the agency expects three strains of influenza, including Hong Kong, Brisbane and Michigan, in the 2017-2018 epidemic season.
