The 71st Cannes Film Festival started in France. The jury of the event, which will be running through May 19, is chaired by famous British actress Kate Blanchett. American actor and director Benicio del Toro heads the ‘Un Certain Regard’ jury.

The opener is Asghar Farhadi’s ‘Everybody Knows’, featuring the world-renowned Spanish couple of Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem.
