You're reading: Apple launches video streaming service in Ukraine

The global technology giant Apple has launched its video streaming service, Apple TV+, on Nov. 1 in more than 100 countries, and Ukraine is one of them.

The service offers original movies and series and is available through the Apple TV app on any Apple device or Samsung smart TV.

The latest addition to the tech company comes in the wake of the video streaming service trend. Another streaming service, Disney+ by The Walt Disney Company, is set to launch in selected countries in November.

The Apple TV+ version for Ukrainians will provide Ukrainian subtitles for its content.

The service offers ad-free content that can either be streamed online or downloaded and watched offline.

The monthly subscription gives access to up to six family members and costs $4.99 (Hr 125).

Those who buy a new Apple gadget, Mac, iPhone, iPad or iPod, will get a free subscription for a year, and those with a student plan on Apple Music will also get free access to the new streaming service.

Today, there are eight series and films available on Apple TV+. The list includes “The Morning Show,” a drama series portraying a morning show shaken by a sexual misconduct scandal, starring Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell. Another show is the sci-fi series “See,” depicting a future where the human race loses the sense of sight with Jason Momoa leading the cast.

The service promises to add new original content every month. One of the upcoming additions is “Oprah’s Book Club,” a series of conversations with outstanding authors picked and interviewed by one and only Oprah Winfrey.
