The art project “United” by Luc Chenier, the CEO of the Kyiv Post, features acrylic paintings of 11 national flags of various countries, but in Ukraine’s blue and yellow colors. The paintings will be exhibited on Oct. 20 – 23 in the Triptych Global Arts Workshop art gallery, at 34 Andryivsky Uzviz St. in Kyiv’s Podil district.

“I want to show how connected Ukraine truly is to so many nations across the world, and how much it contributes, not just through the diaspora, but through myriad economic, cultural and political ways,” Chenier said.

Chenier, 44, is a Canadian citizen who has been living in Kyiv for about 20 years. He studied graphic design in St. Lawrence College in Ontario. He took over as the Kyiv Post’s CEO on Aug. 1. Before, Chenier founded Titanium Presentations, a company that makes presentations and publicity videos for other businesses. Titanium’s “Open For U” video has had half a million views on YouTube.

The “United” project was supported by the embassies of Canada, the United Kingdom, Turkey, and Germany among others. After being exhibited in Kyiv, the works will be shown in Toronto, Chicago and New York later in 2016.

Each visitor will be given a postcard with a small reproduction of one of the 11 works. Part of the money from sales of the pictures will be donated to local charity organizations in Ukraine.
