French astronaut Thomas Pesquet who is a crew member at the International Space Station shared a photo of Ukraine and the Black Sea shores as seen from the space station on Jan. 22.
By doing so, Pesquet marked Ukraine’s Unity Day, a day that celebrates an agreement which united Ukrainian People’s Republic and Western Ukrainian People’s Republic into one country in 1919.
The astronaut added a Flickr link to his photo in high resolution.
