This year Halloween falls on Monday, so the majority of celebration events take place during the weekend of Oct. 28-30.
Daytime, family-friendly events
“Zombie Walk”
A traditional zombie parade around the city center will start just outside the Zoloti Vorota metro station and proceed towards Sofiiska Ploshcha, then to Andriivski Uzviz, Kontraktova and Poshtova Ploshcha and come to an end at the Parkovy Pedestrian Bridge. For those who don’t want to make the effort of dressing up, there will be make-up artists providing their service for just Hr 80 – there’s really no excuse not to come!

“Bad mama”
Platforma Art Space invites families to the two-day-long Halloween festivities. Mums can get a spooky make-up, dads are welcome in a barbershop and children can take part in contests, visit a horror room, dance away or partake in the costume parade. A market, food court and bowling facilities will operate for all the visitors.

Kids Halloween
At the Blockbuster entertainment center’s Halloween event children can learn how to make mysterious origami, paint apples, transform themselves into bats and find out the secrets of paranormal activities. The youngest kids will also be able to enjoy magic tricks and a workshop on making caramel sweets.

Halloween Movie Party
12 Months Zoo, a private zoo on the outskirts of Kyiv will host a two-day Halloween Movie Party. Whilst the screenings themselves will not be in English, there will be other activities in the form of competitions, free fancy make-up, sweet treats to munch on and a photo zone with pumpkins. Albeit the most exciting one will take place on Oct. 29 at 6:30 p.m. – a grandiose lights switch-on in a beautiful castle – a replica of Germany’s Neuschwanstein Castle.

Aqua Halloween
Dream Island waterpark invites families to celebrate Halloween in water. There will be a lot of activities for children including free zombie make-up, an aqua flash mob and a water disco running until 10 p.m.

Nighttime events
Styler Halloween Party
Fashionistas will enjoy this spectacular Halloween-themed fashion show with gothic clothes and accessories. Ukrainian alternative band Detach will perform at the party; and there will also be a photo zone and free Halloween make-up. The bravest visitors are invited to finish the night accordingly – by watching horror movies.

Docker Pub and Docker ABC festivities
Beer and live music lovers are welcome to celebrate Halloween at Docker Pub (25 Bogatyrska St.) on Oct. 28-29 and at Docker ABC (15/4 Khreshchatyk/Zankovetska St.) on Oct. 29-30. Cover bands Bangladesh, Crazy Train, Oh La La in UA and Rock You! will perform.
Halloween Bloody Bathroom
It may feel like almost winter outside but things will get hot at Dream Island waterpark both literally (the air temperature of +30 is promised) and metaphorically – with a twerk battle and a male strip show on offer. Guests are also welcome to swim in the pool, drink exotic cocktails and enjoy music from various DJs including an exclusive DJ set from Playboy star Dasha Astafieva,

Halloween Horror Night
Those who would like something a little harder on Halloween can enjoy a 12 hour-long live rock concert at Bingo club, with performances from various alternative bands. Come wearing a costume or use the make-up and costume facilities on the spot to get into the Halloween spirit.

Hospitality Ukraine
One of the biggest drum and bass labels Hospital Records decides to celebrate Halloween in Ukraine this year. Some of the most popular electronic bands will perform live on this special occasion: London Elektricity, logistics, DJ Bailey and others.
