“Inversions” exhibition is held in Kyiv until June 1 as a part of the French Sping Festival. (Mykola Bilous)

Inversions by Philippe Bertrand and Mykolai Bilous

Philippe Bertrand is a French photographer who usually works in black and white. Mykola Bilous is a Ukrainian artist who interprets Bertrand’s works in his paintings. Bilous adds different colors in his paintings and highlights a fixed point in the photo from a range of angles. In such a way, the pictures compliment the paintings, and they can be perceived either in pairs or as separate art pieces.

Inversions by Philippe Bertrand and Mykolai Bilous (exhibition of photography and paintings based on the photos). Tseh Gallery (69 Kyrylivska St.) Until June 1. Tue-Sun 2-8 p.m. Free
