The Meg
Slammed by the critics, but with great opening box office results, this Chinese-American film is certainly on the money for global appeal. The filmmakers mixed the tenacious genre of shark horror films with a tint of sci-fi, adding the steadily popular Jason Statham and some groundbreaking CGI in the mix. The titular shark is frightening in its detail, all thanks to the new AI computing software.

Too Many Zooz
Too Many Zooz have a had quite a subway ride leading them to Kyiv all the way from New York. The acoustic trio with drums, trumpet and a saxophone started busking in the NYC subway in 2014, and gathered millions of views of their performances on YouTube. The self-defined “brass house” band combines jazz, funk and Afro-Cuban rhytms to make the audience have fun and dance.

Brave! Factory Festival 2018
The two-day music and art festival will rock the capital on Aug. 25. Brave! Factory Festival 2018 features more than 50 local and world musicians and DJs, including Chris Liebing, Anna Haleta, and live performances of Voin Oruwu and others. The festival will be located at Kyivmetrobud factory, with six dance floors for different music genres, food courts and a number of art installations done by Ukrainian and world artists.

Lil Xan
The U.S. rapper Lil Xan comes to Kyiv for the first time. The musician, also known as Diego or Heartbreaker, released his first album “Total Xanarchy” in April, 2018. The live performance of Lil Xan will be held at Green Theater on Aug. 23, with Lil Gnar & Germ as special guests of the show.
