‘We Are With You!’ (сharity concert)

Hromadske Television organizes a charity concert in support of the families of over 70 Ukrainian political prisoners in Russia, the annexed Crimea peninsula and the occupied parts of eastern Ukraine. The concert will also be broadcast live on Hromadske’s website and social media.

Intro Film Festival

Intro Film Festival focuses on culture and society. It features five documentaries in English, Arabic and Finnish, all to be screened with Ukrainian subtitles. “Social Animals” takes a look at the intrusion of the digital world into the real one, and how people use social media to acquire fame. “Studio 54” tells a story of the famous New York nightclub of the same name that was a symbol of the hedonism era in the 70s. And “Gaza Surf Club” explores the life of the surfing community living in Gaza, a self-governing Palestinian territory located between Israel and Egypt and isolated from the rest of the world.

Thanksgiving Charity BBQ

Having a traditional Thanksgiving dinner at Meatbusters restaurant will help Ukrainian veterans and their families. A free year of English lessons will be given to a veteran or their family member for each person that attends. Reserved seat includes’ American-style barbeque dinner. Drinks and dessert will be charged as extra.

Reality Sexuality

Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the “Reality Sexuality” exhibition before it ends on Nov. 28. The exhibition features pop art paintings and graphics by Ukrainian artist Pazza Pennello. Through the works, in which the artist combines sexual and cartoonish images, she explores how the theme of sex has become wide-spread and acceptable in art in contrast to the time of Andy Warhol. “Today, it has been reduced to an act of entertainment and consumption, like watching cartoons,” Pazza Pennello says.
