You're reading: Eurovision first semi-final takes place in Kyiv

The first of two semi-finals of the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest takes place in the International Exhibition Center in Kyiv on May 9.

The first semi-final will see participants from 18 countries: Sweden, Georgia, Australia, Albania, Belgium, Montenegro, Finland, Azerbaijan, Portugal, Greece, Poland, Moldova, Iceland, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Armenia, Slovenia, Latvia. Only 10 of them will make it to the grand final on May 13.
