Those who celebrate St. Patrick’s Day will have a double holiday this year. March 17 falls on a Friday, so everybody can party hard with no worries about having a rough morning at work next day.

Although Ukraine has never had a big Irish diaspora, the tradition of celebrating Ireland’s national day has become popular in Ukraine. So here is a guide on where to “go green” this Friday.

O’Brien’s Irish Pub

The St. Patrick’s Day program at O’Brien’s Irish Pub will include live Irish music, a concert performed by the Jack London cover group, fun and games, and lots of beer.

ProRock Pub

Green beer, guests in fancy dress and Irish music by cover band Get Up! are the main attractions at ProRock Pub this year. The pub will pick the best St. Patrick’s Day costume among its visitors, with the prize for the winner being a barrel of craft beer.

Golden Gate Pub

The newly renovated Golden Gate Pub promises an especially lively St. Patrick’s Day this year. Resident band Jolly Crunch will get guests dancing with their great selection of covers, old and new. Visitors will also be tempted by a delicious range of Irish food and a special price for a pint of Guinness Irish Stout – Hr 47.50. The pub will also give presents for all visitors wearing green.

Whisky Corner

Whisky Corner claims St. Patrick’s Day is not only a holiday of beer, but is also the perfect time for good Irish whiskey. The restaurant invites visitors to a whiskey tasting, starting with Guinness beer and finishing with Writers Tears whiskey. Visitors will also get a chance to taste Teeling 13 Years Old, which is finished in its last year in Calvados casks, Redbreast 12 Years Old, Paddy, Glendalough 7 Years Old, Midleton Barry Crockett, Connemara 12 Years Old, and Bushmills 10 Years Old.

Bar.Ber.Bar

This newly opened bar promises to provide the guests with everything needed for a perfect St. Patrick’s Day. Live music, good food, discounted Guinness and free Irish whiskey welcome drinks for everybody.
