Thousands of Ukrainians share their photos in traditional embroidery shirts to mark Vyshyvanka Day on May 18. As fashionistas feed social media with selfies and group photos in both authentic and modern vyshyvankas, the Kyiv Post has gathered some of those in one piece.

If you want to nominate your photo, post a picture of you in vyshyvanka and put a hashtag #kyivpost.

Some Ukrainians posted pictures of them wearing vyshyvankas abroad.

Not only people, but their pets can pull off wearing vyshyvankas too.

People not only wear vyshyvankas but share their knowledge about them:”The vyshyvanka not only speaks of its Ukrainian origin but also of the particular region in which it was made. The knowing eye could detect where a person hailed from by the clothes on their back.”
