The Perseid meteor shower will be observed in Ukraine during the night from Aug. 12 to Aug. 13.
The Perseids is an annual prolific meteor shower taking place between July 23 and Aug. 20, and peaking on Aug. 12.
The meteor shower will be seen in the whole Northern Hemisphere. In Ukraine, the best time to see the Perseids will be from 10 p.m. to 12 a.m. on Aug. 12. The frequency is expected to be between 100-200 meteors per hour, although those watching in the cities should know that the city lights limit the vision.
The meteor shower takes it name from the constellation Perseus, where the meteors appear to originate.
