One of the most influential electronic music platforms in the world, Boiler Room, is coming back to Kyiv to hold a party and broadcast it live on Dec. 5.

The platform announced the event on its website on Nov. 8.

“We’re thrilled to be back in Kyiv, a city full of powerful, passionate and diverse artists,” the event’s description on Boiler Room’s website reads.

The platform will not sell tickets for the event but give them out to a selected group of those registered for the rave.

The news comes as yet another sign of the international audience’s close attention to Kyiv’s booming electronic music scene.

Boiler Room is a London-based online platform that broadcasts live music sessions.

Originally focused on electronic genres, the group later expanded, adding hip-hop, R&B, jazz and more. Their full list of genres now includes 41 topics. Their top videos have attracted as many as 40 million views on YouTube.

Boiler Room first came to Kyiv in October 2018. Back then, the platform teamed up with local rave organizer Cxema to record and publish the event’s sets.

This time, Boiler Room will hold their own rave in Kyiv as part of the True Music series organized in collaboration with Ballantine’s, the Scottish whiskey brand.

“True Music series finally reaches Kyiv, currently at the epicenter of Eastern Europe’s rave new world,” the announcement reads.

The event’s lineup features a number of striking local electronic artists. “Kyiv will illustrate the strength of Ukraine’s scene with a showcase of strictly Ukrainian music,” the rave’s description reads.

Etapp Kyle will spin records, playing avant-garde techno, Jana Woodstock is to offer some dark-shaded electro, Poly Chain will play ambient electronics, and Spekulant is preparing some “bassline madness.” The residents of Kyiv’s renowned underground club Closer, Shakolin and Tofudj, will also join the rave with their own selections of records.

Those eager to attend the event need to request an invitation for the rave by registering online before Nov. 28 at https://boilerroom.tv/session/true-music-kyiv-2019

The rave will take place at a secret location that will be disclosed several hours prior to its start. It will be broadcast live on the platform’s website.

Earlier in July another online broadcaster of music sessions, French-based Cercle, held a party in Kyiv’s State Aviation Museum of Ukraine.
