MOSCOW – None of the Russian television stations will broadcast this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, a VGTRK television company reporter said in a Rossiya 24 TV channel program posted on the vesti.ru website.

“No one will go [to the Eurovision Song Contest] from Russia this year. Consequently, no one will broadcast this contest [in Russia] this year,” the reporter said.

Yulia Samoilova, who was supposed to be the Russian contestant in 2017, will represent Russia at next year’s Eurovision Song Contest regardless of its venue, he said.
