Ukrainian singer, TV host and actress Olha Poliakova (Olia Poliakova) has announced her intention to create the first women’s party in Ukraine.
“Personally I (the pre-election race to the parliament is about to begin) is very tired of voting for some man from a poster I don’t know anything about … And millions of people really want to know personally the people for whom they will vote,” said Poliakova, speaking at the Women’s Partnership Forum in Kyiv on May 29.
She said: “I am starting the creation of a party that will respond to this challenge. And this will be the first women’s party in Ukraine.”
