Kyiv has recently been subject to unfairly low temperatures, which for most people means the prospect of exchanging favorite clothing items for more practical (and more boring) puffer coats and chunky winter boots is too tempting not to consider.

But with picking the right items and using some fashion-friendly tricks, there is no need to give up personal style. One way to brighten up a gloomy winter day is to wear a statement piece, like a white winter coat or sequin Ugg boots. Good old layering is always a good idea too. Here are some looks that the Kyiv Post has picked this week.
