Ukrainian singer Jamala has announced she has given birth to her first baby, a boy, who was born on March 27 in Kyiv.

Jamala was the winner of the Eurovision song contest in 2016. She is currently the coach on Ukraine’s The Voice talent show.

“Our little prince. My best song ever,” Jamala’s post on Instagram reads.

The singer had the baby with her husband Seit-Bekir Suleimanov, whom she married in April. Suleimanov is the co-owner of the Takava Coffee-Buffet café in Kyiv.

The boy was named Emir-Rahman in accordance with the Crimean Tatar traditions, as both Jamala and her husband were raised in Crimea and have Crimean Tatar roots.

Suleimanov says that he attended the birth and that he and Jamala are very happy.

“We thank God for this miracle,” he told the Kyiv Post.

He said that Jamala feels well, will not take maternity leave, and will continue to work on The Voice.
