On March 24, the G7 countries’ leaders met in The Hague and excluded Russia from the G8, the group of the world’s biggest industrialized economies.

Earlier when the countries refused to come to G8 summit planned for June
and hosted by Russia, President Vladimir Putin reacted saying: “We are
preparing for the summit. If they don’t want to come, let it be so.”
Putin should have no trouble getting ousted President Viktor Yanukovych
to work as a waiter at the event. Not only is Putin shielding Ukraine’s
disgraced leader from mass murder and corruption charges, but Yanukovych
appears to have a lot of time on his hands.
