A by-election to Ukraine’s parliament took place in Chernihiv on July 26 and was won by Serhiy Berezenko, a pro-presidential candidate.
The election campaign was marked by numerous violations as candidates
were seen attempting to bribe voters. President Petro Poroshenko, whose
candidate was one of those allegedly caught in violations, called the
campaign “a shame.”
