The leaders of Ukraine, France, Germany and Russia agreed at a meeting in Paris on Oct. 2 to hold elections in the Russian-occupied areas of the Donbas “under Ukrainian law.”
Analysts have questioned the feasibility of such elections, in which
Ukrainian parties such as the nationalist Right Sector and
Kremlin-backed separatists are supposed to take part.
