In 14 months since the MH17 passenger plane was shot down on July 17, 2014, Russian officials have offered contradictory explanations of the catastrophe, designed to blame the Ukrainian side.
The Kremlin versions were exposed as fiction by the Dutch Safety Board,
which concluded that a missile struck the aircraft, killing 298 people.
