After the votes for the mayor of Pavlograd were counted and it was clear that two candidates made it to the runoff, the Central Election Commission, headed by Mykhailo Okhendovsky, canceled the runoff, saying that Pavlograd has only 89,000 voters while the runoff is required only in the cities with over 90,000 voters – which Pavlograd was before the election.

The illegal decision that benefited the election frontrunner Anatoly Vershyna was revoked by the court.
