Ukrainian oligarch Dmytro Firtash, who hasn’t been to Ukraine at least since March 2014, was expected to return to Ukraine on Dec. 2, but changed his mind.
Interior Minister Arsen Avakov said that Firtash will be arrested upon
entry into Ukraine and sent to the United States, where there is a
corruption case against him. Firtash was arrested on the U.S. demand in
Vienna in 2014, but an Austrian court did not find enough evidence to
grant a U.S. extradition request.
