After Turkey shot down a Russian fighter jet that flew over its territory on Nov. 24, Russia responded with sanctions.
It banned some food importing from Turkey, stopped student exchange
programs with Turkish universities, ended charter flights and terminated
the visa-free regime between the two countries.
