Several Ukrainian media cited anonymous sources as saying that the U.S. government told President Petro Poroshenko that it will provide another $1 billion in loan guarantees – for $3 billion altogether in the last two years – to Ukraine only if the president fires the infamous Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin.
