The parliament’s orchestrated failure to dismiss Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk and his Cabinet of Ministers on Feb. 16 gave a rotten picture of Ukraine’s politics.
The outcome also coincided with the interests of Western partners,
including U.S. Vice President Joe Biden and U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine
Geoffrey R. Pyatt, who want Ukraine to avoid early parliamentary
elections and stick with current leaders.
