On April 14, parliament voted in Volodymyr Groysman as prime minister and Andriy Parubiy as speaker.
Lawmakers associated with Ukrainian oligarchs added their votes to Groysman’s total of 257, 31 more than needed.
During the last two months, when President Petro Poroshenko looked for votes to form a coalition and vote in a loyal prime minister, oligarchs Igor Kolomoisky and Rinat Akhmetov were seen visiting the Presidential Administration and the Cabinet of Ministers.
