Ukrainian Jamala snatched victory at Eurovision from the Russian participant Sergey Lazarev, who was predicted to win but ended up in third place.
Some Russian politicians and journalists raged about the contest’s
result, going as far as suggesting that Russia should “send tanks” to
the 2017 Eurovision in Ukraine, and saying that Europe was prejudiced
against Russia.
