The parliament has once again refused to consider strong tobacco-control legsislation that was submitted for consideration more than a year ago.

The bill aims to put additional restrictions on the industry, obliging producers to increase the size of health warnings on cigarette packs.

The law finally made it to the agenda on May 27, but was unexpectedly called off when two parliament committees spoke against it.
